BACU's Board of Trustees

The College has developed by-laws to regulate the operation of the Board of Trustees (the Board), which includes membership, protocol, and responsibilities.

The College appoints Board members to be active and committed to the Board’s process for appointment, continuation, terms, and replacement. The Board members form the governing body of the College and are responsible for directing the College to ensure the best interests of its stakeholders are met in all management decisions.

Board members responsibilities include:

• Working in the best interests of the College is a top priority

• Engaging in open and honest debates productively and respecting confidentiality

• Approving the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the College and any changes that may take place

• Approving the College strategic plan

• Approving the annual budget of the College

• Appointing an external auditor to complete yearly audit reports.

• Approving new programs based on a feasibility study, industry related scope, research and innovation curriculum, etc.

• Establishing policies, procedures, and by-laws of the College and approval of changes if any.

• Reviewing the Institutional Effectiveness Assessment Report and taking necessary actions

• Approving expansion of the College, or extension of the campus at a new location

• Arranging the funds needed to support all College activities based on the proposed College multi-year budget.
